I’m Adam Green, an energy engineer turned data professional 👋

I’m a data professional working on the energy transition. I enjoy building tools & creating models.

I write this blog so I can better express ideas and concepts in conversations with friends and colleagues.

In my fifteen year career, I’ve worked:

• In Three Data Roles: Analyst, scientist and engineer
• For Large and Small Companies: Energy majors and clean-tech startups
• In Three Energy Markets: The UK, Australia (NEM) and New Zealand
• Across Two Clouds: AWS and Azure
• With Three Infrastructure-as-Code Tools: Serverless, AWS CDK and Databricks Asset Bundles

I wear three hats:

1. Energy Professional: Experience across CHP, hydro and wind
2. Data Professional: Strength in analytics with competencies frontend, engineering and architecture
3. Mentor: I enjoy helping others achieve and grow

Currently I’m working as a Lead Data Scientist at Meridian Energy in New Zealand 🌱
